Côtes du Rhône is a winegrowing region full of history, sun-bleached lands, white stone farmhouses. Château Signac, in the Côtes du Rhône Villages, is one of these unique sites which slowly reveal their mysteries. Around a curve in the road, a rocky promontory: the Dent de Signac looks over the Cèze valley where the vineyards, with their old fortified farm, had already acquired their reputation in the 17th century. The access to the Château is through the vineyards. A shady alley leads to the elegant and discreet country houses.
Then this timeless domain is then revealed around a square farmyard, with stone buildings and thick walls which protect from the harshness of the sun. It offers an invitation to take some time, and taste the wine in the shade on the terrace overlooking the surrounding vineyards. On this rocky land, mixed with clay and sand, grow the grape varieties which make up these elegant and generous wines…
